There is not too much choice in Auli for places to stay (BONUS). If, like me you want to get a bit closer to the mountains, have a sniff of solitude, and trek from your accommodation then you'll be happy with The Royal Village. I was keen to stay in the "cabins" rather than the other hotel options (so gald I did), as I felt it would be a bit more fitting/real/personal for the location> I was not

Perfect location & service.Staff was cooperative.10 mins walk from the cable car which takes you to the skiing track. Food was good. No indoor heating in the Dinning Room which at times is badly required in freezing cold.

I went in Oct 2014. It was awesome trip. Nice hotel and services and Food is really good. Small staff but still very good service. We arrived at Auli at about 1pm with the help of the hotel staff as the road from Joshimath to Auli was filled with snow. Excellent location. Hut on the front row has excellent views. Average service with limited options for meal. Cable TV didn,t work as cable connection from JOSIMATH was not functioning. Auli Resort was an amazing place to stay for 2-3 days. some very nice cottages/huts all wooden interior even the bath rooms with attached geysers. They have this nice dinning room which is common for all and a view is terrific. its a big glass cabin with a capacity of around 25/30 people for dining.

the royal village at auli ,excellent location.cabins are small but neat .service is top class.food at the restuarant is basic but tasty.value for money.they provide guide on demand.our guide- mahendar-excellent young man,made our trip more memorable.
