Killa Road

The home of a noble family, one of the grandest in the kingdom of Mewar in south Rajasthan, the Fort oozes with history, and a real sense of a place in time. Here you are in the palace of true Rajputs: gallant, generous, knowledgeable about history. Less a hotel than a home, the hotel is a living museum, a current residence of a noble family and an extraordinary experience of historic Rajasthan. T

Ajay's hospitality is exemplary, and his recounting of his family's history back to the 15th Century over a gin and tonic was enthralling. The last ten reviews accurately describe the fort's ambience and the comfort/exquisiteness o

An absolutely unique former palatial home, now belonging to the Royal family of Begu who are taking steps to make this into a hotel. It needs a little more polishing, but is on its way to becoming more of a seasoned heritage hotel. It is located pretty off track amongst a part of Rajasthan that does

It is definitely the most beautiful palace in Rajasthan. We returned to Fort Begu during our last trip to India in October 2023. The majestic palace inside the fort has retained all its authenticity and offers all the comfort and extraordinary luxury. Ajay showed us his summer palace during a jeep e

Beautiful setting and extremely attentive service. Our meals were prepared by women from the village with instruction from our host’s mother and were excellent. We were served drinks and then dinner in a different location every evening with fires nearby to keep us warm. Quit chilly at night, but

We were met by the owner Ajay who briefed us the history of Fort Begu. When we arrived we were very tired and some were sick so we could enjoy the night out in front of the fire place. Hotel or old palace whatever you may want to call it has extremely great potential. This is due to individual care
