Creation of this palatial structure took us a full Six years and we opened our gates to receive our distinguished guests from October 20, 2006 onwards. Upon our arrival we compared the entrance akin to the Taj Mahal in it's design. We were warmly greeted like royals and received a musical entrance complete with garlands and refreshments. The restaurant is highly priced but to attain a better value would require a 30 minute taxi to the central area

We had a fantastic stay at The Shiv Vilas. The room was very cosy, inspite of very cold outside. The lobby is excellent. The breakfast buffet is huge. Supriyo and Mona were excellent hosts and adhering to any special requests for breakfast. If it is Kukas, Shiv Vilas is the place to stay. Worth ever
