Chitta Khana Chowk

First time in India, I had a quiet room at the back, tried not to look too closely to the plumbing, and loved the colorful stroll up to & around Uperkot Fort. The friendly owners psyched me up for the trek up Mt. Girnar, which was the highlight of my trip (emphasis on HIGH). I also hiked around the base with a local friend and - as monkeys fled - saw leopard tracks. Beware - they do attack.Warning

Very friendly and helpful manager who gave good practical advice. Rooms clean and adequate but needed fan on all the time to stay cool. Fairly close to bus and train station but beware of taking short cut through school as the children were quite verbally hostile.

I can second everything else previous reviewers have said. Welcoming, bright, clean, great value place. The owner Mr Sorathia and his brother are diamonds in the rough of Indian hotel proprietors. Junagadh's a nice friendly town too, worth a couple of days wandering.

We were looking for a day use room to leave our luggage, refresh and climb up to Girnar Hill and when we met Mr Sorathia at Hotel Relief we understood that it was the right place: it's a pity we had to leave so soon, as we felt welcome and comfortable there and the city of Junagadh is worth a longe

You will find the Relief Hotel in the very centre of Junagadh. The rooms are quite big and clean. The prices range from 500 to 700 rupees so do not expect to much, there is no air conditioning. The value for money is perfect.

The location is very convenient both for the sights and the transport. The manager was extremely helpful in exp

Relief hotel it’s a very nice place. The room are basic but clean and comfortable with a vintage feel, and you will find towels and soap! But it’s the manager that make this place great: he loves his city and he has a deep knowledge of it, so he can give you any sort of information and good suggesti

This hotel is well located in Junagadh (walking distance to the fort and to the mosque). The rooms are clean although a bit dark and could be better decorated. The bathroom was old but had hot water ! They provide towels and soap. The price is very reasonable (600-700 rupees for a double room). The

Completely basic hotel but the staff were great. Great local knowledge and good advice. I was travelling solo and wanted to climb girnar very early in the morning. They recommended that I didn't go alone in the morning and introduced me to other travelers who wanted to climb early as well.
