A 15 acre resort, with a 1000 running foot of beach, 42 spacious villas reminiscent of the British Era, but what entrances you as you enter the garbled gate is the sheer greenery of the place. The Terracotta villas, 500 palms and the 60 odd varieties of birds nesting in the resort make it a peaceful paradise. The resort is supposed to be the first beach resort in Karnataka state, set up in 1980s. The cottages are in old south canara style. Furnitures are old style but maintained well. However the service is not satisfactory. Food is good for sea food lovers. Breakfast is horrible. Not to be compared with

The rooms are not up to standard. We had to literally beg for hot water facility and better mattresses. When we requested for hot water, the receptionist responded that we need to wait for 2 hours to address the issue. However, later we realised that they were simply waiting for us to check out.

Firstly, let me commence with a warning about the beach. As was pointed out in an earlier review, there is a strong undertow. Unless you are a phenomenal swimmer, stay away. And KEEP THE CHILDREN AWAY FROM THE WATER. They can get sucked in even if the water is upto their knees.The alleged highlight
