Going by the the earlier reviews on Trip Advisor, this is one time I was disappointed. To begin this hotel is hardly known by the current name. It is more known by its old name 'Vembanad Hotel".We reached the hotel at around 8 am and there was hardly a soul at the reception, not even lit up, enough

The location is good. only 2 kms from Kottayam railway station. I don't know about the food here. many good restaurants, veg/nonveg, are there near to it. The ambiance is good. I happened to stay here only because a friend booked the room for me .The location,the interiors and infrastructure is quite good eventhough they don't have elevator at the hotel.The facility is quite poorly maintained ,sheets are dull and even torn at places.They don't offer complimentary packaged
