Had a great stay at Serene Homestay. Byron Sir was kind to accomodate our requests and made us feel at home. The porridge he made for breakfast is unforgettable. If you happen to stay here, don't forget to buy a copy of his book Nongriat.

Place was Ok . We didn have electricity for 2 days still we didn mind due to the beautiful location , food was simple homecooked. But the main problem was with MR.B who runs the place he treated us bad. for almost a day ,we didn have running water for washroom with women in the group it was tough.

Tl;dr: local sites are immense, homestay very good but basic. Recommended. Take your rubbish back up with you.This is the most popular place to stay in Nongriat. There is space for about 15 travellers and everyone eats (130 rupees) veg buffet together about 7.30.Breakfast and lunch is available and

We stayed(rather wasted)two nights there in Serene in Christmas.We reached there at 11.10 after two hours hike.Mr Byron,the owner, is very particular about check in time, which is 12.
